There is this crazy thing called love. It’s a feeling of affection and adoration between two or more people. But what about this other love? There is a supernatural love that can never be torn, between us and God. He is our first love, and we seem to be more concerned with finding that one special person who will fill that void that one person who will make us feel complete. There is nothing wrong with being in love and finding the person that you will spend the rest of your life with, but we cannot forget about our maker and sustainer who claimed us and called us His bride. We have grown up in a society that has this idea of unreserved and second-hand love. We all fall victim to it. We think that it is normal for dating couples to live together and have kids before they make a covenant of marriage with each other and God. But, it makes sense; we live in a godless world.
The people in our world don’t care about a “piece of paper stating I am married”. That’s just it—it’s not just a piece of paper, it’s a covenant. It breaks my heart to see young adults falling into this trap, making them feel more and more worthy if they “prove” their love to each other, just to keep him or her around. The Bible says “Love is patient.” What if we all were patient and waited for the one that has been chosen by God. This blows my mind to think about; The Triune Nature of God, as father, son, and spirit. We have been given by God to God as a love offering. We need to live like this! Live like we are heirs to the throne of the Most High GOD. We are all children of royalty, and that makes us all important. So love yourself, because God has made us to be perfect the way we are.
