John 4:24
"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
WORSHIP - "It is the response of the human spirit to a manifestation of the glory of God."
The word "worship" comes from an old English word meaning "worthship".
To worship God is to express His worth.
When was the last time that we rejoiced in giving all of ourselves to God? What I mean is, do we submit every part of us, to Him, as an act of worship? Worship is not just singing or playing an instrument. It is how we live. We must honor God with every aspect of our lives. Because we have been called to live a lifestyle of excellence. When we do this, we can be content with knowing that God is always there.
Why Should Worship Of God Be A Priority In
Our Lives?
1) It is a priority in Scripture.
God mentioned it many times in His word, and therefore we should follow this example, as we make it top priority in our lives. In Genesis we see Adam fall when he failed to worship God. We cannot ever believe that we know more than God. We will fail to see the true meaning of our creation, and our purpose. We all have a purpose, and out future really does not belong to us, God guides it, and we obey.
2)Jesus made it priority
Mark 12:30 "Love The Lord your God, with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength."
To worship, we must give all of our heart, body, soul, and mind. This does not mean we must run around and scream His name everywhere we go, for that is foolishness, but we must not be afraid to let the holy spirit guide us in our honoring of the Most High God.
Through prayer and reverence Jesus made His worship a priority, even on His last day. He went and bowed down to his father and prayed mercy on the people, and for strength in what He knew He had to do. To me, this is beautiful, on His dying day, he fell down in worship, and intense prayer before God, begging for His help and strength, without arrogance or selfishness. It says in scripture that Jesus prayed so deeply that His tears were blood. What about us? I have never been so devoted that i started to cry blood! When we think about this we might think of it as too radical, and not possible for us as mere human beings, JESUS WAS HUMAN! He encountered all kinds of sins, and still resisted.
I Corinthians 14:25 "The secrets of his heart are disclosed, and so, falling on his face, he will worship God and declare that God is really among you."
I want to see this generation of radical believers of the power of God, FACEDOWN, in complete surrender, as top PRIORITY, and in true Reverence.
3)It is what The Father is looking for, and desires from us, as His perfect Creation.
John 4:21 - 24 - " But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshipers shall
worship the Father in spirit and truth: for the Father seeks such to worship Him.
God is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth."
To worship God, we must be intentional.
Expression of our deepest thoughts should be brought up to Him as our offering of praise. We must bring our first-fruits, and nothing less than our best.

KEY REASON TO WORSHIP: He created us, and gave us life, therefore He deserves our praise.
A key principle in worshiping is learning about God, and never stopping.
There is always more to know, more to see, and more to come.
The more we know God, the closer we will get to Him, and the deeper our reverence and worship will be for Him.
To live a life of worship we must be Thankful for our life.
*We must strive for nothing less than excellence.
*We must strive to live a holy and sanctified life.
*We must have a repentant and humble heart.
*We must be obedient to what The Lord has in store for us.
*We must be lovers of God's Word, and have a passion for His presence.
*We must have true faith in Our God.
Worship will draw us closer together, not only to The Lord, but to each other.
The thought that, if we all truly devoted ourselves to a life of worship, we could change our city, is so amazing. We could bring more and more people to eternity, and we could leave a legacy for generations to come. Our relationship with God will be built on a stronger foundation than we ever could have imagined, and our lives will never be the same.
Worship is an offering to God from His children. We have all been adopted by God and we need to start living like it! Ephesians 1:5 says, "In Love He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ according to the purpose of His will."
